Our extensive experience and diverse expertise in commercial management enables us to provide a full range of cost-effective commercial management services from turnkey to discrete engagement.

Our team comprises qualified and highly capable construction professionals including individuals who were previously Group Commercial Director of a highly profitable FTSE 250 listed International Construction Group with an annual turnover of £1.5bn, Managing Director, Contract Managers, Commercial Managers, Planners and Programmers, Senior Quantity Surveyors and Quantity Surveyors.

We have amassed extensive expertise and experience in the management and administration of large-scale complex construction projects at regional, national and international levels. This breadth and depth of experience enables us to help our clients achieve their business goals and assist them to deliver their projects on time, within budget and to their own clients’ satisfaction.

At a macro level, we are able to provide advice relating to the strategic commercial management of contracts let upon a wide variety of contractual arrangements, including challenging DBFO and JV arrangements. This includes carrying out assessments of risks and opportunities as well as advising upon procurement and bidding strategies. In the case of problem contracts, we can carry out an audit of the contract elapsed, forecast the position at completion and advise upon recovery solutions using our programming experience and expertise to prepare and interrogate programmes and progress reports.

At a micro level, we are able to carry out the day-to-day commercial  management and administration of projects, including: preparing, submitting and agreeing monthly applications for payment and final accounts; preparing cost/value reconciliations; identifying, notifying, valuing and agreeing variations/Compensation Events; managing and administering specialist sub-contractors (e.g. earthworks, mechanical and electrical services); keeping and maintaining contemporaneous contract records; carrying out health-checks of project records; designing and collating records’ databases from diverse data sources (daily reports, workbooks, monthly progress reports, programmes, etc); strategising, preparing and agreeing large-scale complex claims; reporting to senior management, including early warning; and writing and responding appropriately to contractual notices and correspondence.
